Pădurea Domnească

The oaks here are older than Moldova itself. The reserve stretches 6,000 hectares near Glodeni — never logged, never landscaped, just left alone. Trails cut through corridors of massive trees and past streams that feed the Prut. You'll hear deer before you see them. Go in October when everything turns gold and the mushroom season peaks. It's a long drive from Chișinău, but that's exactly why it's still this quiet.
